[ yes, taiga aisaka spoke words without even thinking what she was saying. the classic head empty mistake. like an animal faced with only two options, taiga chooses flight and dives back into her cocoon, loudly lamenting her embarrassment.

a little tiger tail sneaks it’s way out of the cocoon, lashing back and forth. ]

[ At the very least, she could be comforting? Which means, she goes over to sit next to Taiga in her big pile of blankets and...

[ taiga lets out a needlessly loud sniffle and leans into ryoko’s touch. those adorable ears are so soft… ]

Why do the spirits always know… Why not give me cool wings, or giant horns? Like—like a badass demon… Not… Taiga…

[ Awww, her widdle ears are twitching now… Taiga also extracts herself entirely from the cocoon, instead wrapping the blanket around both of their shoulders. ]

Mmm... I don't think so. It's kind of fierce... like someone I wouldn't typically want to mess with.

Y'know, I think if I did that, I'd have to turn to a diet of like... boring crackers and dirt. Wait--dirt might have bugs in it, so that wouldn't be allowed either... I wanna keep eating meat!

You know, I hear there's a lot of protein in crickets. I bet you could survive on those for a while.

[ She settles her head on Ryoko's shoulder, still smiling. If only more people in the world could experience this much joy over a beef bowl... so much joy, in fact, that her ears start to twitch excitedly. ]

[ With a soft giggle, Ryoko holds her in place, continuing to pat her head. She wants so badly to comment on how cute she is right now, but that'd just start everything up again. ]
